Pub Crawl Ends In A Mad Rush Of Donations

THE final tally from the Santa Claus Pub Crawl through Wollongong is in, with gifts valued at more than $40,000 donated for the Salvation Army.

Organiser Neil Webster said 1500 toys, worth around $30,000, and $3500 in cash was donated at the pub crawl.

Later, one of the participants from Nowra, who owns an electrical store, kicked in six laptop computers and 400 kids' DVDs.

The Santa Claus Pub Crawl was started 14 years ago by a group of friends and attracted 2000 people this year.
